The Engineering Director will be joining at possibly the most exciting time for the company, having recently merged with a competitor and are taking their products to the next level for customers around the globe.
We are looking for an Engineering Director with a highly technical background and strong leadership skills to oversee a team of 25+ Software Engineers working within a cloud-native Microservices architecture.

What we're looking for
First and foremost, an empathic, confident leader who cares about people with the following experience...
- Highly technical, strong engineering leader with the ability to mentor and coach tech leads and support them in growing further.
- Strong team leadership experience ideally leading 15+ or more engineers.
- The Engineering Director will be leading a product team of 25 software engineers who are working with full stack technologies across backend & web software development.
- Fantastic communication skills and the ability to translate both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Highly experienced in technology strategy and best engineering practices
- Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture
- Experienced in growing software engineering teams
- Strong understanding of Cloud-native services and how they work (they are using AWS and Azure)
Nice to have:
- SaaS experience
- Worked within Aviation, Rail or Defence industries
