Streetscene Operations Supervisor

Location: Salisbury

Salary: £27,803 - £30,825 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week, 5 out of 7 day rota, including weekends

Salisbury City Council are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to coordinate and guide Streetscene Operatives according to service specifications. You should understand operational challenges and requirements and be effective in bringing out the best in your team while ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

About the role:

  • Oversee the operational management of the Streetscene team.
  • Jointly manage the City Council depot alongside the Grounds Supervisor.
  • Ensure legislative compliance of all waste management.
  • Undertake cyclic and non-planned inspections.
  • Maintain relevant records for the Streetscene Service
  • Respond in a timely manner to incoming queries and reports.
  • Raise purchase orders for maintenance and repair works.
  • Demonstrate ability to operate and maintain mechanical equipment**.**

About you:

  • Experienced in depot and mechanical equipment/vehicle operation and maintenance.
  • Have a proven track record of team management and the ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must enjoy a job that involves office work and working in all weather conditions.
  • Holder of or a willingness to complete WAMITAB CIWM Waste Management Level 4 Certification.
  • NEBOSH/IOSH Health and Safety
  • Full UK Driving License including Cat C1 7.5 tons
