Group Strategic Analytics (GSA) is part of Group Chief Operation Office (COO) which acts as the bridge between the Bank's businesses and infrastructure functions to help deliver the efficiency, control, and transformation goals of the Bank.
You will work within the GSA team responsible for implementing a client strategy reporting platform. The team have the responsibility to deliver a client analytics platform providing both descriptive and predictive analytics on the firm's clients, their performance and the opportunities they can provide. You will have an understanding of market leading data science techniques and machine learning methodologies and have a client-centric attitude, together with strong analytical skills and a detail oriented approach to breaking down complex matters.
You will be creative with the enthusiasm to develop an industry leading client analytics platform that can drive the firm's client strategy, using cutting edge technology. You will be eager to have a significant positive impact on the company, our global clients, and your cross functional partners in Sales, Trading, Technology and beyond.

Your key responsibilities
- Introduce and enforce agreed signoff process with business sponsors for analytics
- Define delivery milestones agreed with business sponsors to be reflective of appropriate requirements and commercial impact
- Coordinate product development across multiple workstreams
- Define and validate design and implementation of data models and analytics functionality
- Proactive in exploration of data and analytics output to facilitate effective adoption by business sponsors and groups
- Understand business workflows and make recommendations for improvements (directly in workflows and/or analytics)
Your skills and experience
- Extensive data and analytics experience, ideally within a financial services environment. Expertise in visualisation design a plus
- Educated to University degree or equivalent qualification/work experience in computer science, data science, statistics, mathematics or related field
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical models and data structures
- Data analysis and visualisation experience and understanding, with ability to translate data analysis to extract meaningful commercial insights and visualise data to support decision making processes
- Proven track record of working with large datasets. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills together with ability to explain complex concepts for non-technical stakeholders to understand
