Senior Fundraising Manager
- Annual Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 p.a. full-time equivalent, dependent on experience
- Location: Cambridge, UK or remote with regular travel to Cambridge

Reed Business Support in Cambridge are excited to be working with an amazing charity who are looking for a Senior Fundraising Manager to join their team and lead the development of long-term, high-value funding partnerships that enable them to advance their global educational mission. This role offers the opportunity to work with some of the world's leading technology companies and foundations, contributing significantly to democratising computing education globally.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Proactively identify and develop opportunities to secure external funding to support the delivery of the Foundation's global strategy.
- Achieve ambitious fundraising targets as agreed upon with the leadership team.
- Develop a pipeline of new funding opportunities, conducting prospect research, qualifying opportunities and building relationships with prospective funding partners.
- Lead the development of bids and proposals for external funding, ensuring they reflect strategic priorities with accurate budgets and impact measures.
- Build and maintain excellent relations with supporters, providing regular reporting on the use of funds and impact achieved.
- Engage supporters through visits and volunteering opportunities, ensuring meaningful engagement with their work.
- Conduct all fundraising activities in line with values and agreed policies, including appropriate due diligence on donors.
- Manage a team of fundraising and business development specialists, setting objectives, conducting performance reviews and supporting their professional development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Significant experience in a fundraising role for a charity with national or international reach, including a track record of developing long-term, high-value funding partnerships.
- Experience in bidding for government contracts, ideally in the education sector.
- Proven leadership skills with a collaborative and supportive approach.
- Passionate about the mission of the charity.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills, capable of developing and presenting a persuasive case for support.
- Strong advocacy, influencing, and networking skills.
- Good numeracy skills, capable of building budgets for funding proposals.
- Proficient in using Salesforce or an equivalent CRM system to track and measure partnership pipelines and make data-driven decisions.
