Accounts Assistant / Sales Ledger

Full time - office based - Permanent role
Job Detail:
- Preparations of daily figures for all departments & processing of invoices onto accounts system
- Counting and reconciliation of daily banking
- Management of incoming sales ledger cash and banking
- Reconciliation of monthly sales ledger
- Reconciliation of cash book, bank account and petty cash
- Preparation of monthly statements and follow up of unpaid debtors, including liaison with debt recovery where necessary
- Knowledge of cash book and petty cash procedures
- Liaison with external stock-taker as and when required, and provision of information for this purpose
- Regular review and testing of internal controls across the company
- Reconciliation of external gift voucher system
- Calculation of intercompany balances
- Reconciliation of nominals on monthly basis
- Prepare monthly VAT adjustments and health club membership reports
- Occasional holiday cover for purchase ledger when required
The successful candidate should be:
- An experienced all-round accounts clerk with a good knowledge of double entry bookkeeping
- Able to work to daily and monthly deadlines
- Strong IT skills (Outlook, Office, at last)
- Personable and with good communication skills
