We are currently seeking a dedicated Wireman / Electro-Mechanical Assembler for a full-time, temporary or temp-to-perm assignment to support the assembly of our client's cutting-edge marine electronic systems.
Assignment Details:
Type: Temporary / Temp-to-Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am- 4:30pm.
Salary Pay Rate: Up to £28,000 per annum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble electronic and electro-mechanical products to technical specifications and engineering drawings.
- Perform precision wiring, crimping, soldering, and cable harness assembly to IPC or company standards.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.
- Conduct basic functional and continuity testing of completed assemblies.
- Ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to build processes and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with engineering and production staff to resolve issues or clarify designs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the workspace, adhering to ESD protocols.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Prior experience as a wireman, electro-mechanical assembler, or panel wirer in an electronics or precision engineering environment.
- Skilled in fine-pitch soldering, cable looming, and connector assembly.
- Ability to understand and follow complex wiring diagrams and assembly drawings.
- Comfortable working on low-volume, high complexity builds where attention to detail is critical.
- Competency in using standard hand tools, test equipment, and mechanical fixtures.
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
