**JOB PURPOSE

Burberry is looking for a skilled Pattern Manager to manage our Pattern Team, oversee pattern construction, amendments, and grading, create size charts, measure samples, develop innovative methods, and collaborate with the Design, Product Development, and Product Engineering teams in London, as well as the Technical department in Castleford, and various cross-functional teams.

**RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a team of 5-6 Pattern Technicians, ensuring timely delivery of tasks.
  • Communicate new style launches from PD/Design/Product Engineering teams to the Castleford Technical Development and relevant teams.
  • Create, grade, and amend patterns from sketches, basic blocks, or reference samples, adhering to design/PD/Product Engineering requirements.
  • Develop and adjust basic blocks for new styles and shapes requested by the design/PD team.
  • Digitally create and grade patterns in Lectra, ensuring styling details and proportions are maintained; knowledge of CLO3D is an advantage.
  • Create size charts for all developed styles and ensure patterns are prepared for manufacturing with necessary details like seam allowances, notches, and grain lines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production quality standards and cost-effective methods are met.
  • Support fit sessions, sampling approvals, and update Technical Packs with relevant details (e.g., size charts, trim sheets, and fusing details).

**PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Minimum 5 years working experience as Pattern Cutter/Engineer/Technician with experience managing a team.
  • Digital pattern cutting experience is must ideally with Lectra Modaris.
  • Strong knowledge in fit, body movement and body proportion
  • Clo3D – knowledge/experience is an advantage
  • Rainwear and outwear experience is preferable and is an advantage.

Qualifications

  • Preferably University graduate in Pattern Cutting/Fashion with reasonable industry experience in digital pattern cutting.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel & Office Suite.
