Engineering Technician
We are working with a reputable further education provider in Derbyshire. They are currently seeking a knowledgeable and experienced engineering technician to join their growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing support in Fabrication and Welding workshops/classrooms and aid in the maintenance of safe learning environments.
**Job Description:**
- Provide support to the engineering team in various projects
- Maintenance of the workshop, ensuring all equipment is in good working order
- Assisting in the preparation of materials for training sessions and practical demonstrations in fabrication and welding
- Adherence to health and safety protocols at all times
- Assisting with the procurement of equipment
- Regularly inspecting, servicing, and repairing tools and equipment as needed.
**Skills and Qualifications:**
- Relevant qualification in engineering or fabrication and welding
- Proven experience as an engineering technician
- Level 2 welding or fabrication qualification
- Strong understanding and commitment to health and safety regulations
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team
