IT Support Engineer
Location - Daventry
Hours - 37.5 Hrs per week, onsite
Contract - Until 31st December 2024
Salary - £26.40 Per Hour
Our client delivers reliable power systems used in critical applications globally. Whether for data centres, on rugged job sites such as oil and gas fields or as backup power for our homes, our client's technologies are trusted around the world. They are looking for an IT Support Engineer to join their team on a contract basis working full-time. You will be supporting our client's production facility where you will be answering user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation and resolving problems.
Responsibilities of the IT Support Engineer
- Provide in-person support and solutions for IT issues across the site
- Remote software installations and deployments
- Hardware testing and diagnostics reporting
- Investigating hardware/software user issues on-site
- Resolving tickets raise according to priority
Specifications for the role of the IT Support Engineer
- At least 2 years' experience in a similar role required
- Must have experience in Windows OS, Windows 10
- Basic knowledge of Active Directory required for the role
- Competent using DNS/DHCP & Printing services
- Will have had hardware configuration experience previously
- Track record in software troubleshooting to a good level
- Will need good customer service and interpersonal skills
- Requires a high standard of verbal and written communication skills
- Problem-solving skills are essential to the role
- Must have the basic ability to work independently and manage one's time
- The ability to work with existing SOPs and processes is essential
- Knowledge of computer software, such as configuration management software, desktop communications software, operating system software and internet directory services software is a main requirement for the role
- Ideally networking experience, but not essential
- Preferably a background in manufacturing, but not essential
