Job Title: Contract Support Manager - Estate Services

Salary Details: £35,196

Vacancy Location: Weston-Super-Mare/Somerset/Bath/ Bristol

Hours Per Week: 37, Monday to Friday 8am-4pm

Contract: FTC 6 Months – 31 March 2025

About the Role:

Our client requires an experienced contract manager to support delivery of large scale (600+ sites) grounds maintenance contract across the west of England, including Bristol, Bath and Somerset. Other contracts include cleaning, window cleaning and waste removal. Key duties will be arranging and attending review meetings; regular meetings with contractors' staff; scrutiny & preparation of KPI and other contract data; detailed record keeping and regular on-site monitoring of contractor performance; delivery and standard of work against specifications.

You will have experience of client-side grounds maintenance contract management, a good knowledge of amenity horticulture, knowledge of applicable Health & Safety requirements and a high level of attention to detail.

You will be working within a strong Estate Services team and engaging with colleagues and customers on a daily basis, so excellent customer service skills are required.

Person Specification

  • Good knowledge of amenity horticulture.
  • Experience of client-side grounds maintenance contract management.
  • Experience of managing cleaning, window cleaning and waste management contracts. (D)
  • Prior experience in the Housing or Local Authority sector. (D)
  • Knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation and experience of managing contractor compliance with safety requirements.
  • High level of attention to detail when handling data.
  • Familiar with and competent in the use of IT systems including Excel & Word.
  • Comfortable interpreting maps and specifications; using GIS mapping tools.
  • Delivery of customer led services and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • A confident communicator.
  • A flexible approach to working hours.
  • Committed to a high level and quality customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills internally and with contractors
