Trust Senior Finance Officer
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

What you'll do:
As a Trust Senior Finance Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Trust's Finance Manager. Your responsibilities will include ensuring efficient management of finances, providing high-quality financial advice to various stakeholders, monitoring budgets, producing management reports, and actively seeking improvements within the finance team.
- Support the Trust Finance Manager in the preparation and implementation of financial forecasts, business plans, reports and returns.
- Ensure staff are compliant with the Trust's financial policies and procedures, advising of any potential breaches or non-compliance across the Trust.
- Provide high quality financial advice and guidance to the Central Trust and ITT budget holders including Trust senior leadership team.
- Monitor all budgets and produce management reports and budget holders statements as requested.
- Ensure that the finance systems reflect the latest accurate position, and that month-end close and finalisation of management reports are undertaken in a timely and accurate manner.
- Actively seek out and recommend improvements to system processes within the wider Trust's finance team.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Trust Senior Finance Officer role brings a wealth of experience in senior finance roles along with qualifications such as CIMA/ACCA or AAT level 4. You have at least three years' experience in similar roles, preferably within an education or service sector environment. Your expertise includes MAT or group accounting as well as integrated accounting software procedures. You also possess line management skills and experience. Your ability to balance multiple responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and efficiency sets you apart.
- PQ (CIMA/ACCA); or AAT level 4 minimum working toward CIMA/ACCA.
- Minimum three years' experience in a Senior Finance role.
- Experience of MAT or group accounting.
- Experience of Integrated Accounting software procedures including business planning and investment appraisal software.
- Line management skills and experience (minimum 1 year).
