Warehouse Operative
Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced warehouse operative to join a small distribution business based in Chandlers Ford. This position will be assisting the Warehouse Manager and working as a team of two running the day-to-day warehouse operation.
Responsibilities:
- Processing orders
- Receive deliveries and book in correctly while checking the quantities and conditions
- Organising transport for all deliveries
- Performing regular stock takes
- Loading and unloading palletised goods
- Cutting cable to length for specific orders
- Liaising with the sales team
- Oversee import and export documentation
- Moving stock around the warehouse with both counterbalance and reach truck
- Review transport arrangements to ensure most cost-efficient method is used
Requirements as a Warehouse Operative:
- Self-sufficient - able to prioritise workload
- Strong warehouse experience
- Excellent numerical skills
- Proficient IT user
- Experience with Sage is desirable
- Previous experience with counterbalance and reach truck
This position is a full-time permanent role, the successful candidate will be assisting the Warehouse Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the warehouse. Working hours are Monday to Friday. 8am - 5pm with a 4.30pm finish on a Friday. Our client is offering a salary of £27,000 - £30,000 depending on experience.
