Salary: £41,547

Randstad Engineering are looking for a 3x yard supervisor for a prestigious client of ours based in Avonmouth, Bristol. The business operate nationally and is recognised for their contribution to environmental initiatives. They process non recyclable plastics, with the material being reused within manufacturing, including the pharmaceutical industry. Throughout the process, they are able to generate energy which can power up to 80,000 homes per year.

You will play a crucial role in providing visible, hands-on leadership to control the safe and efficient import and export of material to and from the site. As the supervisor, you will oversee a team of Yard Operatives, ensuring compliance with health and safety guidelines, implementing safe systems of work, and maintaining the overall safety and efficiency of the yard operations. Your responsibilities will extend to enforcing the traffic management plan, overseeing vehicle movement, and providing hands-on support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory/leadership capacity, within a yard/warehouse.
  • Valid FLT certificates, with the ability to safely operate fixed and mobile plant equipment.
  • Experience working in processing, manufacturing, or a similar environment.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a pressurised and changing environment.
  • Previous experience in warehouse operations and goods in/out processes.
