The Role: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join our team. This pivotal role involves overseeing nine semi-independent services, ensuring the highest standards of care and support are maintained. Reporting directly to the Director, the Operations Manager will be instrumental in managing budgets, supervising staff, and driving positive outcomes for the children and young people in our services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of 9 semi-independent services, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Manage and allocate budgets effectively, ensuring financial sustainability and cost-efficiency.
  • Lead, mentor, and support a diverse team of staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance service delivery and improve outcomes for children and young people.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
  • Ensure all services provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people.
  • Work closely with the Director to align operational strategies with the overall goals of the organisation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including local authorities and regulatory bodies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the semi-independent (16 +) sector.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with a track record of successfully managing teams.
  • Excellent understanding of budget management and financial planning.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and standards within the care sector.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to promoting positive outcomes for children and young people.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the needs of the organization.
