We are seeking a Service Advisor with exceptional communication skills and a customer-focused approach to join our team. The successful candidate will be an organised multitasker, an excellent administrator, and a respectful team player. This role involves building strong customer relationships, scheduling service appointments, and supporting the Service Manager in various administrative tasks.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Build and maintain strong rapport with customers, ensuring a friendly, welcoming, and helpful approach in all interactions.
  • Handle incoming calls and online bookings, scheduling service, repair, and MOT appointments as required.
  • Discuss and listen carefully to customer requirements for vehicle servicing, both at the point of booking and upon vehicle arrival.
  • Manage courtesy car bookings and ensure they are ready for customer use.
  • Assist the Service Manager with planning and scheduling work for workshop technicians and preparing workflow plans.
  • Order parts from suppliers for upcoming jobs and work in progress.
  • Maintain clear communication with customers about the status of their vehicle service, fostering trust and confidence.
  • Track jobs in progress, liaising with technicians and customers, and provide updates on inspection videos, MOT reports, and additional advisory work.
  • Prepare invoices and ensure vehicles are ready for customer collection, including washing, sanitising, and adding sweet gifts.
  • Use CRM systems to attract new customers and maintain communication with existing customers regarding service needs and special offers.
  • Utilise garage management software to report on lost opportunities, quotes, and non-booked service & MOT advisories.
  • Ensure accurate stock levels in stores and order replacement parts and consumables as needed.
  • Maintain a warm and welcoming atmosphere within the service reception and showroom.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Organised with the ability to multitask and high attention to detail.
  • Good written skills for producing estimates and invoicing.
  • Problem-solving abilities and able to work on own initiative.
  • Team player, respectful, reliable, and computer literate.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and TechMan Garage System Software (preferred).
  • Full UK Driving Licence held for at least two years.

Hours of work Monday to Friday 08:00 – 17:30 1 Hour break Occasional Saturday 08:00 – 13:00 (Max x 4 per year)
