Teaching Assistants required in Burton

Day-to-Day Supply, Short Term Supply and Long Term Placements

Pay: £75 - £85 - dependent on experience

Start date: As soon as possible

The Supply Register are currently working alongisde John Taylor Multi-academy Trust to recruit for talented and experienced teaching assistants to work in their schools. You will join their exclusive talent pool of staff and cover day to day, short term and long-term bookings. Part time work is also available.

Key responsibilities

  • Support Learning: Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and providing additional support to students as needed.
  • Individual Support: Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning and address specific needs.
  • Classroom Management: Help maintain a positive and productive classroom environment, managing behavior and ensuring that students stay on task.
  • Resource Preparation: Assist in preparing and organizing classroom resources and materials.
  • Feedback: Provide feedback to teachers on student progress, behavior, and any concerns.
  • Record Keeping: Support in maintaining accurate records of students' progress and any relevant issues.
  • Inclusive Education: Support the inclusion of students with special educational needs or disabilities, ensuring they have access to a full educational experience.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents, fostering a supportive and collaborative atmosphere.
  • Professional Development: Engage in professional development opportunities and stay up-to-date with educational best practices.

Requirements

  • Recent Classroom Experience: Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role is essential.
  • Enhanced DBS Check: Must hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or be willing to get one)
  • Passion for Education: A genuine interest in supporting student learning and development.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Organizational Skills: Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
