Workshop Technician / Office Administrator

We have partnered exclusively with Autolift Limitied, a well-established, ambitious and growing company based in Coventry.

It is an extremely exciting time to join the team at Autolift as they are rapidly expanding their reach in the commercial vehicle lifting equipment sector. They have had a significant increase in production in the last 12 months and are looking to increase capacity further. They are a small team but are very proud of their products which are all manufactured on site and then shipped around the UK and abroad.

Adaptability, flexibility and a proactive, can-do attitude are essential for this position. Given the size of the team, the remit of this position may reach all areas of the business with no two days being the same. This position requires some work within the office, but will be working predominantly within the workshop.

Key responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Manufacture of component parts (training provided)
  • Some machine work including Drilling / Press-break (training provided)
  • Training will be provided by their experienced workshop team in the manufacture of component parts or on any machinery that needs to be used. Relevant Health and Safety equipment and training will also be provided depending on task requirements.
  • Taking phone calls from customers
  • Sending/responding to emails
  • Order processing
  • Stock ordering / contacting suppliers
  • Stock control
  • Picking / packing spare part orders
  • Consistent communication is essential between all employees to work effectively and efficiently as a team towards company goals
  • Due to the nature of their products there will be some heavy lifting

Essential skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Good knowledge of MS office and a working knowledge of general IT systems (Outlook, Word, Excell & their order/stock management software - Statii. Training will be provided for the latter)
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written, with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise work
  • Ability to drive as the location of the company has little public transport availability
  • Some engineering experience would be beneficial but is not required

Monday - Thursday - 7am to 4.30pm

Friday - 7am to 11am

(There may be some opportunity for overtime depending on the workload)
