Advanced Nurse Practitioner - Birmingham

Service: Urgent Treatment Centre

Location: Birmingham

Rate: £45 - £50 per hour (Ltd or sole trader, with increased rates for weekends and Bank Holidays)

Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join our client's busy Urgent Treatment Centre in Birmingham. As an ANP, you will play a key role in a caring and committed team, delivering outstanding clinical care to patients.

Main Duties:

  • Adhere to evidence-based practice in all clinical decisions.
  • Operate independently in healthcare settings, including primary and secondary care, Urgent Treatment Centres (UTC), Out of Hours (OOH) services, or Accident & Emergency (A&E).
  • Lead and support your team, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with local and national healthcare strategies and policies.
  • Understand and uphold the legal, ethical, and professional responsibilities of advanced practice.
  • Perform medication reviews and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Ideal Candidate:

Essential:

  • Fully qualified ACP, ANP, or ECP with a recognised specialist qualification.
  • Completed Masters-level modules in Advanced Clinical Assessment & Management and Consultation Skills (or equivalent experience).
  • Registered as a non-medical prescriber (V300).
  • Proven experience in managing minor injuries and illnesses.
  • Current with all mandatory training, registrations, and immunisations.
  • Possess a recent DBS check dated within the last 12 months or be registered on the update service.

Desirable:

  • Leadership experience or relevant qualifications.
  • Paediatric experience with the ability to recognise and treat acutely unwell children.
  • Experience in managing long-term conditions.
