A reputable contractor in the region are currently recruiting for an experienced Planner to join their team in the Kent area. They have successfully won various projects in the area and are always looking to expand their portfolio of clients in this area too. You will be working with a reputable contractor who work across various regions. You will be working on civil engineering and groundworks projects, so experience in this area is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre Tender:
- Attend pre-tender meetings where required
- Produce information for pre-qualification documents when requested
Pre-Construction Stage:
- Review the 'buildability' of the project - working with Operations Teams where required
- Prepare Tender programmes
- Prepare temporary works schedules and analyse quotations received and advise the Estimator
- Work with the Estimator preparing Preliminary costs
- Advise the Managing Estimator of any tendering difficulties
- Prepare material in the agreed format for presentation to the Adjudication Panel and attend meetings when required
- Provide input to the handover process from estimating to contract
- Prepare labour resource histogram when applicable
- Attend meetings with Client, Designers, Quantity Surveyors etc where necessary
Construction:
- Consider information passed on by Pre-Construction Director from Quarterly Reviews
- Attend site meetings and receive feedback
- Review tender programme operations against tender programme
- Compile and amend Contract programmes when requested
- Advise on programmes and progress when requested
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- HNC/HND in relevant discipline is preferred but not essential
- Must have experience using Primavera P6 and/or Asta
- Seeking a driven and highly motivated individual
- Previous experience as Project Planner working for a Main Contractor or sub contractor
