Procurement Assistant

My Client is seeking a dedicated Procurement Assistant to join there Procurement Team. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, this role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of purchasing processes as well as maintaining accurate inventory levels and assisting with shipping and receiving tasks.
Day to Day Duties:
- Process and monitor purchase requisitions for company Systems, including offshore manufacturing shipping and associated documents.
- Progress purchase orders and coordinate with the finance department for invoicing upon completion.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding stock levels, lead times, and pricing.
- Handle external telephone calls and transfer them as necessary.
- Assist with daily pick lists and packing, ensuring all shipments are adequately packaged for safe transit.
- Participate in stocktaking activities and maintain accurate inventory of all finished goods in stock.
- Organise finished goods for easy picking and maintain their condition.
- Keep track of non-finished goods stock inventory and work with the Procurement Team to replenish stock as needed, ensuring shelf-life requirements are met.
- Provide shipping information to the Sales team when requested.
- Prepare parts for internal work instructions and coordinate with the relevant department.
- Manage dispatch paperwork and customer-specific labelling requirements.
- Work with couriers to expedite delivery and shipping as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of programs.
- Good understanding of MRP principles and use of internal systems.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
