Administrative Assistant

We are looking for an organised and proactive Administrative Assistant to support the Director of Fundraising. This role requires managing the Director's calendar by scheduling and arranging internal and external meetings. You will book meeting rooms, ensure necessary technology is set up, and register in-person external guests to the office. You will coordinate meeting agendas, take minutes, and document decisions and next steps from the internal meetings

In this role, you will ensure briefings for the Director of Fundraising are received in advance of meetings, book travel arrangements, and support and edit PowerPoint presentations. Your role will include researching key topics, compiling, and summarising information for reports and coordinating a monthly update report across fundraising activities.

You will be responsible for maintaining files and records on SharePoint, collating documentation for purchase orders and invoices, and leading on the organisation of logistics for fundraising all staff strategy away days. Building and managing positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, identifying administrative processes for simplification or efficiency, and appropriately managing confidential information are also critical aspects of this role.

This is a temporary position starting at the end of August for four months and involves hybrid working arrangements, requiring 1-2 days per week in the office, my client are open to 28 hours or 35 hours a week (4-5 days)

Essential Experience

  • Previous experience in an administrative role.

Essential Skills/Knowledge

  • Capability with Microsoft Office platforms: including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills, including the ability to manage priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills

Desirable Skills/Experience

  • Understanding of a fundraising department
