The Recruitment Co. is recruiting for an Experienced Finance Assistant to join our clients team based in the Kenfig area.
Salary: £26,000 p.a
Hours work: 37 hours per week Monday-Thursday 8.30am-4.45pm & Friday 8:30am-3pm
Contract: 3 month fixed term contract. The role will be reviewed after 3 months
Our client is looking for a confident individual who has excellent accounting knowledge to help perform various duties within the business. This position will be reporting to the Financial Controller.
Main Responsibilities:
- Preparing daily bank reconciliations
- Preparing accounts for foreign subsidiaries
- Processing sundry payments and receipts in the accounting system
- Managing prepayments, accruals, petty cash, credit card and fixed assets
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts monthly
- Preparing intercompany reconciliations
- Monitoring & processing expense claims in line with company policy
- Completing month end procedures up to TB level
- Covering credit controllers role during periods of absence
Personal Specifications:
- Essential knowledge of Quickbooks & Sage. Preferable knowledge of Syteline but not essential.
- Confidence in working with high volume of data
- Experience of working with various currencies
- Excellent accounting knowledge
- Thorough knowledge of Excel
- Ability to prioritise, multi task and cope with interruptions whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Ability to use own initiative and high level of organisational skills
- An eye for detail and a logical approach to problem solving
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent numerical skills
- Team player
