Role

Joining an amazing team of mortgage and protection consultants, you'll be responsible for helping people find mortgage solutions that are right for them, and in line with their aspirations and finances.

During your appointments with clients, you will build a good rapport with your engaging approach to discussing all of the hard and soft facts needed to get a perfect understanding of their requirements.

You will have a good knowledge of the mortgage market and lender's criteria and enjoy sharing your expertise with the clients.

Ensuring the client and their mortgage are correctly protected is also important to you, and you will take responsibility for passing introductions to your colleagues.

You will follow a tried and tested process, which will in turn help you work as efficiently as possible and offer your clients the exemplary customer service you strive to achieve.

Responsibilities:

Duties will include:

  • Dealing with leads which come into the company from various sources
  • Meeting / speaking with clients to discuss their needs and requirements in order to complete a thorough fact-find
  • Building a good relationship with potential and existing clients in order to provide exceptional customer service and convert new business opportunities into mortgage applications
  • Explaining the home buying process to clients in a methodical, step by step way
  • Using the lender's systems and your mortgage knowledge to recommend the correct product for your clients, and providing clear written quotations
  • Managing your diary in order to arrange appointments at times which are convenient for your clients
  • Following up on mortgage quotations sent
  • Identifying cross sale opportunities and passing leads to your colleagues
  • Reviewing client paperwork to confirm that the information provided during the fact find is accurate
  • Speaking to lenders and underwriters in order to provide a clear picture of your client situation
  • Liaising with and building relationships with partner estate agents in order to encourage further new business

Skills and Competencies:

  • Fully CeMap qualified (or equivalent)
  • Wide knowledge of mortgage products, criteria and procedures
  • A good head for numbers
  • Experience of Microsoft Office programs
  • Exceptional people skills + good communication skills
  • The ability to identify the need for mortgage related products
  • Analytical and enquiring mind attention to detail
  • A high level of written and spoken English
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple demands on time and resource
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Exceptional team working skills
  • The ability to follow processes and procedures

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm + Saturdays on a rota basis. The role does require an amount of flexibility for you to speak to your clients at times suitable for them.

Salary:

£30,000, plus a competitive uncapped commission structure (OTE £45,000 - £60,000 per annum with unlimited earning potential)

Location:

Crowthorne office, with possibility for working from home 1 day per week. Our office is located next to Crowthorne train station and we have free onsite parking available.
