Group Health and Safety Officer required. My client is a leading manufacturer, installer and maintainer of CHP Power Generation solutions and is now looking to onboard a new Health and Safety officer to bolster their team in Stockport. The ideal candidate will come from a Health and Safety background, will have exposure / experience with the CHP industry and will based within a commutable distance of Stockport.
**Group Health & Safety Officer
Position Overview
- Enforcing Health and Safety procedures as required and report any non-conformities
- Management of all Health and Safety risks
- Carrying out rick assessments and ensuring they are completed for all high-risk tasks
- Assisting with and preparing Health and Safety documentation ready for implementation
- Liaising with the SHEQ department to introduce new / review existing Health and Safety policies
- Reviewing Standard operating procedures, method statements & risk assessments in line with best practice
- Conducting SHE inductions for new staff
- Chair and document monthly department SHE meetings
- Undertaking occasional travel to customer sites
**Group Health & Safety Officer
Position Requirements
- 5 years previous experience in a Health and Safety focused role
- Qualified to at least HNC level in Mechanical Engineering
- Knowledge of CDM, LOLER, PUWER, Electricity at work act & Gas safety regulations
- Experienced in formulating policies and risk assessments
- Experienced in implementing, monitoring, reviewing and auditing safety processes
- Experience working to ISO:9001, 14001 & 45001
- Based within a commutable distance of Stockport
- Full driving licence
