Location: Patchway, Bristol

Remuneration: £25 - £30 per hour

Contract Details: Temporary, Full Time

Responsibilities:

Our client, a leading automotive company, is seeking a reliable and experienced Site Manager to oversee the safe execution of concurrent projects for various sites. As a Site Manager, you will ensure that projects are delivered to meet standards in regards to safety, quality, and programme. Compliance with current CDM legislation, including MS18 and CSO6 standards, is crucial for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Health and safety leadership to the site delivery team and promote behavioural safety improvements.
  • Support the project risk management process and establish effective controls for a safe and timely project delivery.
  • Identify project opportunities to improve commercial performance.
  • Maintain effective client/stakeholder relationships to protect and enhance our client's reputation at the site level.
  • Ensure compliance with reporting procedures for KPIs, accidents, and incidents.
  • Ensure that suppliers, sub-contractors, and direct workforce follow company policies and procedures, including Health & Safety and Quality Assurance.
  • Conduct regular toolbox talks and daily activity briefings.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed works and expenditure, reporting to the project manager as required.
  • Order general materials necessary for project completion in coordination with the project manager.
  • Coordinate all activities on-site and issue permits in compliance with CDM and CSO6.
  • Liaise with the project manager to ensure adherence to the workbook.
  • Conduct regular site supervisor safety audits and report findings to the management/safety team.
  • Deliver projects as per the senior management team's set programme.
  • Lead the team to meet and exceed business performance targets, ensuring the successful implementation of the company's "management expectations."
  • Maintain high standards of quality, in accordance with relevant British Standards and codes of practise.
  • Provide trade knowledge and support to ensure the quality and performance of the works.
  • Ensure snag and defect-free project completion.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

  • Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of self-motivation, organisational ability, and deadline-driven approach.
  • SSSTS / SMSTS certification.
  • City & Guilds / NVQ construction-related qualification.
  • JIB / BESA certification.
  • CSCS Card.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Experience in a supervisor/site manager role.
  • Strong administration and organisational skills.
  • Practical experience in the building industry.
  • Health and Safety experience.
  • Proficiency in computer software, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to understand customers' business requirements.
  • Initiative with a proactive approach to tasks.
  • High standard of workmanship.
  • Conscientious, reliable, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to providing a high-quality service and willingness to work flexibly, including overtime when necessary.
