Nurture Teacher (Secondary)

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nurture Teacher to support students in a secondary environment, focusing on developing literacy and numeracy across a range of subjects. This role is pivotal in maximising student success and facilitating smooth transitions or reintegration into education. The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher with experience in alternative provision or mainstream education, or an ECT determined to combine professional development with life-changing teaching.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Teach across Key Stages 4, with a specialism in KS2, in a nurturing secondary environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve literacy and numeracy among students.
  • Support students with SEMH needs, transforming their lives through engagement in education.
  • Motivate learners while challenging and supporting them to achieve their potential.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of like-minded professionals.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to the school's growth.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an Unqualified Teacher willing to engage in Teacher Training.
  • Experience in alternative provision or mainstream education, or as an ECT.
  • Strong subject knowledge and classroom practice to teach across Key Stages 4.
  • Organised, resourceful, and proactive with a desire to continually improve teaching practices.
  • Commitment to the values of flourishing, community, and social justice.
