Owen Daniels are supporting a leading Manufacturing business in recruiting for a Quality Inspector on a contract basis.
M-Fri (Days)
Hourly rate: £14 per hour
The Role:
- Perform inspections on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and blueprints to assess product quality.
- Use a variety of measuring tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM (coordinate measuring machines) to conduct inspections.
- Identify defects, deviations, or non-conformance issues and document findings in inspection reports.
- Work closely with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in developing and improving quality control processes and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and calibration data.
- Support internal and external audits as required.
- Communicate quality standards and expectations to production staff and suppliers.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized inspection area.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment,
- Strong knowledge of quality control procedures, testing methods, and tools.
- Familiarity with ISO standards or other relevant quality management systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
