We have a great opportunity to work with our client based in Peterlee. The company requires a Process Operative who has experience operating a FLT to work alongside an existing team of operators. The role involves running machines and conducting quality checks along with moving goods around the factory floor using a FLT. (In house FLT is acceptable)
The Process Operator / FLT role is working on a 3 shift rotation: Day shift Monday to Friday 6.00am-2.00pm, Backs 2.00pm-10.00pm and the night shift is Sunday-Thursday 10.00pm-6.00am.
The first 12 week probationary period is paid at: £12.13 for day shift and back shift, and the night shift rate is £14.56.
Pay from week 13 is: £12.50 for day shift and back shift and the night shift is £15.00 (£27,728 per annum)
Duties of the role include:
- Operating heavy plant equipment
- Adhering to strict Health and safety procedures
- General housekeeping of the site
- Being able to use your own initiative
- Working closely with team members to ensure smooth running of the process
- Ability to react to changes in the process
- Operating Forklift to move products around the site (you will only be on the FLT around 30-40% of the time)
