Employee Relations Advisor (on-site)

We are proud to be working in partnership with our client, a global private sector organisation based in Suffolk, who are currently recruiting for an Employee Relations Advisor (on-site). This is a six-month contract (with potential for a permanent opportunity at the end).

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The temporary hourly rate is negotiable and fixed term salary £30,000 per annum (pro rata and also negotiable).

The ideal candidate will have strong employee relations experience, with the ability to 'hit the ground running'

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing advice and support to managers and employees on employee relations matters, such as performance issues, misconduct, absence management, flexible working
  • Conducting investigations, hearings, and appeals in line with the organisation's policies and procedures, ensuring fairness and consistency
  • Supporting application of the Absence Management policy coaching line managers to deliver the necessary actions
  • Preparing and drafting letters, reports, and other documentation related to employee relations cases
  • Helping set up an ER database and providing monitoring of trends and data, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending solutions to the People Relations Manager
  • Developing and delivering training and coaching to managers and employees on employee relations topics
  • Contributing to the review and update of employee relations policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with employment law and best practice

Experience Skills, knowledge and expertise require:

  • Extensive experience required in Employee Relations
  • Experienced in carrying out ER case work and investigations (low to medium risk)
  • CIPD level 5 qualified (desirable)

Working hours :

  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm (1 hour lunch)
  • Based on-site in the office
