A focus on maximising customer facing time is key to the role in order to build and maintain a strong network of relationships within these key accounts, that can be used as leverage to strengthen our position when protecting spec and also to maximise our chance of success around taking share from competition.

As a senior member of a regional external sales team you will provide support & guidance to the other team members as necessary.

The day-to-day:

  • Contribute to the Non-Residential channel target through effective project management.
  • Work with the regional team to deliver regional sales plans
  • Lead activity, where needed, across all relevant customers in conjunction with specification managers.
  • Establish and maintain a full understanding of divisional trading position and specification presence within Key Accounts within the region
  • Own the projects under the nominated key accounts throughout the project cycle, maintaining a portfolio of at least 50 projects at all times and liaising with the internal sales support role to ensure the balance of projects is managed effectively.
  • Ensure call plans are always correct and up to date
  • Constantly drive best value for the agreements maintained, including renegotiation of rebate terms
  • Maintain accurate pipeline data by ensuring all critical fields are accurately completed on SalesForce
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers
  • Making timely pricing decisions in line with agreed procedure.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • The ability to balance a customer centric role with project management, managing sales opportunities for all non-residential projects that fall under our national main contractor agreements within a geographical territory
  • Excellent understanding of the construction process in relation to non-res projects
  • Knowledge and be fully conversant in the products and brands within Ideal Standard's portfolio
  • Ability to operate with constant professionalism and integrity - providing the highest standard of service to customer, colleagues and senior management team
  • Experience in proactively ascertaining sales opportunities and market intelligence
