Responsibilities:

  • Process and deliver payroll within a strict deadline using Sage Payroll
  • Manage payroll processing and records efficiently dealing with maternity, paternity and sickness records
  • Calculate employees' take-home pay based on time records, benefits and taxes
  • Deal and respond to employee enquiries regarding wages, deductions and attendance.
  • Adhere to payroll policies and procedures and comply with relevant law
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in payroll records
  • Maintain confidentiality of employees' pay records
  • Complete payroll reports for record-keeping purposes or managerial review
  • Distribute wages through direct transfers to employees' bank accounts.

Skills and experience required:

  • Experience working in a Payroll position in practice (Desirable)
  • Experience using SAGE or a similar software
  • Good understanding of tax procedures and benefits
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of pension administration
  • Excellent communication skills
