Key Responsibilities:
- To plan, manage and prioritise the use of resources within the outsourced finance team
- Ensure at all times filing deadlines and client agreed deadlines together with the fees targets are met
- Agree monthly completion targets and annual development plans with each team member ensuring adequate resource to meet the department targets
- Produce management accounts for clients
- Undertake project work to review client systems and processes
- Provide a bookkeeping service for clients
- Provide a payroll service for clients
- Complete vat returns on behalf of clients
- Ensure vat returns produced by outsourced team are reviewed by senior staff, completed on time and are accurately produced
- Provide company secretarial services for clients
- Ensure billing is kept up to date at all times
- Assist colleagues to prepare for client meetings
- Respond efficiently to client enquiries
- Assist with p11ds where needed
- Put forward business improvement ideas for all clients asked on performance against projections
- Provide clear communication to management and lead advisors on timescales and the deliverability of assignments
- Manage and develop the team in terms of workflows, operational planning and allocation of assignments
About You:
- Minimum of 12 months experience in heading a department or a number of service lines for a practice
- ACCA/ACA qualified
- Proficient in Xero, CCH and Advanced Excel
- Experience with D2C integration and inventory management integration software
- Able to plan and communicate effectively on all operational changes
- Able to motivate and support the team to develop personally and professionally
- Must be an efficient and personable communicator
- Must be driven and ambitious
- Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail
- Able to lead by example and inspire the team to deliver a high level of client service at all times
- Keen to develop and grow and others in the team
- Must have own transport as our office is difficult to get to by public transport
