Due to ongoing growth and investment in personnel, equipment, and facilities, our client is seeking a highly skilled Manual Turner to join their dynamic manufacturing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality products and services to meet customer demands, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely completion.
- Adhere to all Health and Safety and Employment Law requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to support the fulfilment of duties and responsibilities.
- Work closely with the Team Leader or Manager to resolve any ongoing or unresolved issues.
- Report any potential Health & Safety breaches to management promptly.
- Support management and facilitate change with a positive and proactive attitude.
- Provide constructive feedback to the Management Team, offering ideas, improvements, and concerns.
Role Requirements:
- Time-served Engineer/Machinist/Toolmaker with extensive experience in manual machining operations.
- Proficiency in working with Colchester lathes, including internal/external screw cutting.
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Skilled in using measuring tools such as vernier calipers and internal/external micrometers.
- Ability to identify and select appropriate tooling and tips for various jobs.
- Experience in working within a multi-skilled team, producing technical components that meet strict industry quality standards.
- Commitment to meeting production deadlines with flexibility and adherence to QHSE practices.
