I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client who is a leading provider of transport management solutions. Globally. They have a vacancy for a Project Engineer who will be based in or close to the Leicester area. The successful Project Engineer will travel to customer sites and will carry out the installation and commissioning of transport management equipment. Please note the successful Project Engineer must be flexible to regular travel and staying away from home during the working week.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate who has experience of working with low voltage electrics and some IT networking experience. Qualifications are not necessary, however a technical aptitude and interest in this field is required. Project Engineer Engineer Responsibilities:
- Coordinate work packages with colleagues, the customer and subcontractors (Civil engineers, utilities providers, local authorities etc.).
- Conduct the commissioning, installation and repair of the company equipment onsite.
- Configure, program and commission equipment and network systems.
- Keep an accurate record of all installations; this will include detailed site plans.
- Provide a detailed handover pack to the service support team once the site has gone live.
- Perform basic customer training.
- Produce detailed reports when required of outstanding issues.
Project Engineer Requirements:
- Although not essential, an Electrical/Electronics qualification is preferred.
- Basic understanding of IP networks.
- IT literate - able to use Google and Microsoft Office packages.
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
Project Engineer Benefits:
- Salary is £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience.
- Annual performance bonus scheme - (12% target based on delivering set objectives).
- Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm.
