About the Role: Our client, a leading firm in the not-for-profit sector, is seeking an experienced and motivated External Audit Manager to join their Not for Profit team based in London. The firm provides top-tier audit services to a diverse range of clients, including charities, associations, academies, and schools. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage audit engagements for a portfolio of not-for-profit clients, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Plan, execute, and review audit work, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing insightful advice and support.
  • Mentor and supervise junior team members, fostering a collaborative and learning-focused environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement effective solutions.
  • Contribute to business development efforts, including proposals and presentations to prospective clients.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) is essential.
  • Significant experience in external auditing, with a focus on the not-for-profit sector.
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and Charities SORP.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Proven leadership abilities, with experience in managing and developing teams.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with a commitment to delivering excellence.
