Facility Coordinator
- Annual Salary: £14.00 per hour
- Location: Thatcham, Berkshire
- Job Type: Part-time, working 20 hours per week Monday to Thursday 9.00am to 2.00pm, on an ongoing temporary basis
We are currently recruiting for a charitable organisation dedicated to serving the community of Thatcham and its surrounding parishes. They are looking for a Facility Coordinator to lead the day-to-day operations of our charity, ensuring the smooth running of facilities.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
- Coordinate and arrange meetings, prepare and distribute agendas, and maintain the minute book.
- Manage the booking of facilities, advertise available spaces, and greet potential hirers to maximise bookings.
- Issue purchase orders and handle invoicing; maintain up-to-date ledgers for invoicing and expenditure.
- Coordinate grounds maintenance and liaise with cleaners according to the schedule of hirers.
- Oversee fire safety risk assessments, fire extinguisher testing, and electrical PAT testing as per regulations.
- Act as the first point of contact for Health and Safety matters, updating incident logs and organising appropriate actions.
- Manage general administration tasks including handling calls, mail, email, IT, and website functions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum GCSE Maths & English Grade C/5 or equivalent.
- Experience in a forward-facing role with customer care and general secretarial duties.
- Familiarity with handling confidential information and financial data.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word & Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage a complex workload.
- Committed to continuing professional development and flexible to attend meetings/events outside normal business hours.
