In the role of Accountant, you'll be:
- Managing and maintaining a portfolio of clients, ensuring high service levels are delivered.
- Providing strong customer service to your clients, offering proactive tax and accounting advice.
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns and monthly payroll.
- Producing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns in line with accounting reporting standards and tax guidelines.
- Preparing and submitting self-assessment tax returns to HMRC.
- Communicating with HMRC and external agencies on behalf of our clients.
- Involved in training new members of staff on the team.

The ideal Accountant will have:
- Experience working in an accounting environment (Practice preferred).
- A minimum qualification of AAT Level 3 or studying towards a recognised accounting qualification.
- Strong communication and mathematics skills.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the latest accounting and tax legislation.
- The ability to work to targets and meet client filing deadlines.
- The ability to work as part of a team and support the overall accounting function.
