Marketing Manager/Senior Marketing Manager

We are very excited to be working exclusively with a successful Consultancy and Marketing Agency who specialise in the academic publishing industry, helping organisations across the research communications sector, including world recognised publishers. This role can be worked on a fully remote basis, but candidates need to be based in the UK.

They are looking to recruit an experienced marketing professional to join their growing team, to work on a variety of projects, working with senior level clients. This role will also manage client relations and support, and deliver marketing and communication plans, as well as implement campaigns for clients.

This is a fabulous opportunity for a creative and curious marketer, looking to expand their responsibilities and work with a variety of highly interesting clients.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing innovative marketing campaigns and plans working on client briefs
  • Managing the full life cycle of marketing projects, including campaign planning, content creation, setting objectives, media placement and performance analysis
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously and also overseeing the work of 2 direct reports
  • Analysing campaign performance and ROI, making data-driven recommendations as required
  • Attend client meetings (in person and/or virtual) and third party national and international events/conferences
  • Staying up to date on the latest trends, technologies and competitive activity (in both publishing and marketing), actively contributing to the organisation's and clients' business strategies

Required skills and experience:

  • A strong understanding of key implementation channels and marketing tools, including organic and paid social media platforms, paid search, Google Analytics, HTML, Email platforms etc.
  • Proven success in previous marketing roles, ideally focused on the academic publishing sector
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to translate sometimes complex information into compelling narratives
  • Experience in managing a small team
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as a small team
