About the Role:

We are seeking dedicated and passionate Special Educational Needs Teachers to join TimePlan Education in Southampton. Whether you are looking for flexible day-to-day supply roles or long-term opportunities, we have a variety of positions available starting this September.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences for students with special educational needs.
  • Create and adapt lesson plans to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Implement and develop Individual Education Plans for students.
  • Work closely with support staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure each student's needs are met.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and reports.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in an SEN or mainstream setting.
  • Strong understanding of various SEN conditions and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs.
