The Role

Are you a skilled communicator with a proven track record in sales prospecting and a thorough understanding of the full sales cycle? Do you thrive in identifying and building relationships with potential customers? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are a leading Business Development and New Business Sales Specialist Consultancy firm, looking to appoint an experienced and analytical Business Development Representative to our growing team.

You will play a pivotal role in identifying and prospecting new potential customers across the UK, US, and Europe. You will work closely with our data team to create targeted contact lists, reach out to potential customers, and nurture a pipeline of prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Constructing a comprehensive list of the addressable market (UK, US, and Europe) and collaborating with the data team to build targeted contact lists.

  • Reaching out to the target audience to build and nurture a pipeline of prospective customers.

  • Qualifying potential sales opportunities by assessing:

  • Customer objectives and targets

  • Key drivers for outsourcing business development activities

  • High-level requirements and timelines

  • Competitor landscape (external and internal)

  • Buying criteria (including why, whom, and when)

  • Managing the prospecting list on our internal CRM system, including:

  • Customer name and contact details

  • Last conversation details

  • Qualification information

  • Next steps, actions, and dates

  • Storing email correspondence on our internal CRM system.

  • Recording conversation notes in our internal CRM system.

  • Updating and maintaining prospecting & sales forecast opportunities in our internal CRM system.

  • Providing updates and reports as requested by Head of Delivery.

The Person

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Development or Tele-sales, with extensive knowledge of the industry.
  • A proven track record in Sales Prospecting, with at least 5 years of experience.
  • A thorough understanding of the full sales cycle.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Analytical acumen with the ability to translate insights into practical actions.
  • Experience working with medium to large-scale customer organisations for at least 5 years.
  • Experience working with and selling to Cx-level personas for at least 5 years.
  • A macro understanding of organisational structures and potential internal sensitivities.
  • A high-level understanding of technologies and their role within the IT enterprise environment.
