Contract Details: Temporary, 3 months

Salary: £22.82 - £28.40 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality HR advice, guidance, and support to customers
  • Ensure effective delivery of HR services, including employee relations, reward and recognition, TUPE, and organisational change
  • Interpret and apply HR policies, procedures, and legislation
  • Support HR projects and work programmes, such as recruitment campaigns, policy development, and mandatory training
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • Analyse HR data and produce reports to support business decisions
  • Participate in disciplinary and tribunal hearings when required
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of HR policies and procedures

Essential Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • CIPD qualification or significant experience in HR or Learning & Organisational Design and Development
  • Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment law
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant desktop IT applications
  • Experience in delivering a range of HR services
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with customers

Desirable Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Experience in designing fit-for-purpose HR policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of HR best practises in a local government setting
  • Experience in delivering learning and organisational design and development services
  • Employee Relations
  • Organisational Change
  • Job evaluations
