Negotiable hourly rate, varied shift pattern - 1 week 3 days, Tues, Weds, Thurs then 1 week 4 days, Mon, Fri, Sat, Sun - 7am to 5pm or 8am - 6pm.
We're looking for friendly, caring individuals with transferable who can show a high level of care when dealing with service users and their laundry. A good level of written and verbal English will be required.
The Role:
You will support service users to have their clothes freshly laundered daily and returned to the place of their choice within their own room. You will maintain high standards and provide the expected high level of service in this fantastic setting.
Responsibilities will include:
- Ensure that service users are at the heart of all decisions made regarding their clothes.
- To contribute to the efficient running of the service
- To ensure that personal clothing is treated with respect by accurately sorting it and processing it into the correct wash cycle.
- Liaise with care staff to establish the ownership of any unmarked items.
- Be responsible for reporting any maintenance issues to the Manager which prevents the laundry facility functioning efficiently.
- Observe Health & Safety regulations regarding storage of chemicals - COSHH
- Maintain adequate supplies of detergent and softener.
