Position Summary:

We are looking for a passionate Nursery Manager to lead our team and manage the day-to-day operations of our Southampton nursery. The successful candidate will ensure the provision of exceptional care and education, maintain regulatory standards, and create a positive, inclusive environment for children and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily nursery operations, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Lead and manage a team of early childhood educators, providing guidance, support, and professional development.
  • Develop and implement educational programs and activities that meet the needs and interests of children.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain up-to-date records.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, guardians, and the local community.
  • Manage nursery budgets, resources, and staffing schedules efficiently.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the nursery's policies and procedures, making improvements as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within a nursery or early years setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to the development and well-being of children.
  • First Aid certification and safeguarding training are highly desirable.
