Are you a Technical Accountant who takes pride in detailed accurate reporting? This is an exciting opportunity to work in an established and growing team. You will collaborate with 3 Senior / Qualified Accountants who specialise in Commercial & Management Accountants and require the support from a Financial Accountant.
Reporting into a driven Finance Director and work within a fast paced and growing organisation with a financial turnover circa £500 million. You will support with due diligence on future company acquisitions.
You will be integral in a team who really care about providing excellent service to the business and take great pride in their work.
The successful Financial Accountant will ideally be Qualified in ACCA, ACA or equivalent and have experience of statutory accounting and audits.
The successful accountant will be working in a hybrid capacity with travel to the Northampton Head Office 1 day per week.
Financial Accountant – Full Time Permanent Position in Northampton (Hybrid)
Duties include:
- Produce statutory accounts under IFRS
- Responsibility for the year end audit process
- Producing and presenting information for future Mergers & Acquisitions
- Responsibility for VAT returns, HMRC returns and payments
- Assist in continuous improvements in internal controls and financial reporting
- Assist in preparation of monthly management accounts and board papers
- Assist in preparation of monthly group consolidation
- Review monthly balance sheet
- Manage group leases
- Preparation & initial review of monthly reporting
- Ownership of month end timetable
- Working to tight reporting deadlines
- Extraction of P&L data for review
- Project work as required
- Adaptive to the requirements of the business
- Working closely with management accounts and commercial finance teams
