Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our client's dynamic team. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining their data infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operation and scalability of their data systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Optimise and manage SQL and NoSQL databases to ensure high performance and availability.
  • Develop and maintain SQL Sequel Reporting Services (SSRS) and Microsoft Sequel Server (MSQL) solutions.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure data quality and accessibility.
  • Implement and manage data solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Utilise containerisation technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes to streamline deployment and scaling.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data systems to ensure reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with NoSQL databases.
  • Extensive experience with SQL Sequel Reporting Services (SSRS) and Microsoft Sequel Server (MSQL).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Location: Liverpool / Hybrid Working

Salary: £50,000 - £75,000 + Bonus + Pension + Benefits
