Your new role
This role plays a key role in shaping the commercial performance of a business unit, by providing key insights and advice to operational management, in order to achieve business plans and goals. You will work closely with key stakeholders, ensuring you understand the key metrics and drivers of the division, and help navigate the challenges and opportunities available for growth.
More specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Using financial modelling & analysis to drive business performance
  • Manage costs outside automated processes
  • Manage financial plans and forecasts against current financials
  • Support stakeholders in providing financial insight and driving optimised performance, communicating well with senior management
  • Produce monthly MI and performance reviews to support commercial decision-making
  • Support the BI team in the production and development of KPI's to support business performance
  • Support a culture of positive and collaborative thinking, challenging where needed to diversify thinking.

This is a full-time role, working 35 hours a week between Monday and Friday, but an exact working pattern can be flexible for the right candidate.

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally be a qualified accountant or be studying towards full qualification, but those qualified by experience will also be considered. You will have a forward-thinking and proactive approach to finance, and you must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. You must be able to articulate financial data and insights in a way that makes sense to non-finance staff and be able to influence decision-making.

What you'll get in return
This company offers a very competitive salary of £45-55k per annum + a range of excellent benefits. These include 29 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), a bonus of up to 10%, hybrid working 50% of the time, up to 14% pension, share save schemes, medical and dental plans and enhanced parental leave packages for all.
