Procurement Specialist

Akkodis are currently working in partnership with a leading global professional services provider to recruit a Procurement Specialist.

The Role

As a Procurement Specialist you will work closely with the Procurement Manager and be the first point of contact for all IT & Facilities requests.

The Responsibilities

  • Respond effectively and efficiently to all queries and creating relevant work orders.

  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

  • Global vendor and category management

  • Process and manage all procurement related requests for indirect corporate expenditure including raising purchase orders, receipting and invoice checking, in relation to IT and Facilities requests including:

  • IT hardware, software licenses and services

  • Mobile phones and accessories

  • Stationary, corporate merchandise, printing, office equipment and PPE

  • Manage day to day procurement activities, reporting, on / off boarding staff, updating our internal systems, and supporting documentation including the management of the asset database

  • Updating internal policies and procedures on the internal Knowledge Base ensuring compliance with SOX procedures and corporate governance

  • Manage the overall supplier relationship including - ensuring costs and services are in line with contractual agreements, support onboarding / offboarding of suppliers including contractual negotiations, manage the renewals of our suppliers including commercial agreements and obtaining best commercial advantage (TCO)

The Requirements

  • Experience working within a procurement environment utilising service desk, procurement, and asset management tools
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent organisational, written, and oral communication skills
  • Strong IT skills - proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365
  • Commerciality - including total cost of ownership, driving commercial value
  • Sustainability - Sustainable procurement methodologies
