My client is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their External Sales department. Reporting to the Senior Product & Sourcing Manager, this role involves developing and implementing sales strategies within the wholesale/contractor sector. The ideal candidate will have a successful sales history and the ability to build strong relationships with key customer accounts. A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
Day to Day of the role:
- Develop and implement a sales strategy in line with business objectives and sales forecasts, considering new product launches, promotions, market trends and competitor activity.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with existing key customer accounts, servicing their requirements and identifying areas for mutual profitable growth.
- Maximise sales opportunities by proactively seeking new business avenues and converting them into profitable sales.
- Plan, forecast and report on sales activity within your area, measuring against KPIs.
- Work collaboratively and develop relationships with all internal departments and stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience within an External Sales role, with responsibility for Wholesale and Contractor accounts.
- A proven track record of successful sales.
- Ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels.
- A professional, self-motivated, and passionate individual with drive and ambition.
- Full UK driving licence.
