SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you a dedicated and compassionate individual eager to make a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are currently seeking a nurturing and caring candidate to join our well-respected alternative provision in Barnet.

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and a willingness to provide one-on-one support to students with Autism, ASD, ADHD, Behavioural Issues, and Social & Emotional Needs.

Hours are generally 08.30-15.30 Monday to Friday (term time only), but part time hours are also available.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Providing one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN
  • Assisting teachers in the delivery of lessons and adapting materials as needed
  • Supporting students with physical and personal care, as required
  • Monitoring and recording student progress and communicating this to teachers and parents
  • Participating in team meetings and professional development opportunities
