This is a pivotal role for an experienced Head of Finance to provide strategic financial leadership in a notable not-for-profit organisation. The Head of Finance will oversee the finance department, ensuring that the accounting and finance functions are run efficiently and effectively.

Description

  • Provide strategic leadership in the finance department, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Oversee and manage the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, standards, and policies.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies in line with the organisation's objectives.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop the finance team.
  • Collaborate with senior management to set financial goals and strategies.
  • Review and analyse financial reports, identifying and addressing any issues.
  • Represent the finance department in meetings with stakeholders and external bodies.

Profile

A successful Head of Finance should have:

  • A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the finance sector.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting procedures.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
  • Outstanding analytical and strategic planning skills.

Job Offer

  • An attractive salary of approximately £45,600 - £56,000 per annum (DPE)
  • Hybrid working with two days a week on site on average.
  • Generous pension scheme with a 21.1% employer contribution.
  • A 35-hour working week.
  • 29 days of annual leave, plus 4 closure days and 8 bank holidays.
